For better or worse…freedom of political expression is inextricably linked to scientific freedom and academic freedom. If you don’t have one, you lose all. That’s why it’s important to engage in behavior that secures these freedoms across the spectrum. How is the protection of the scientific method linked to protection of these freedoms? Most simply, the scientific method can’t exist without them.
